“FATHER FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO”. LUKE 23:34

Jesus’ words of forgiveness directed at those who crucified Him constitute the most powerful message of forgiveness ever spoken.

One does not have to be a Christian to respect the absolute love of Jesus toward even those who crucified Him.

And one must certainly realize that Jesus will forgive us our lesser sins if only we ask with sincerity and respect in our hearts, and a genuine desire to commit to abstaining from committing again the sin for which we have asked forgiveness.

One cannot hide from Jesus, either one’s physical being or one’s thoughts, for the spirit of Jesus resides within all of Creation.

Thus beware attempting to fool yourself by ever entertaining the notion that you can fool Jesus through hypocritical pleas for His forgiveness for sins which you fully intend to repeat.

Beware also of attempting to fool yourself into believing that one may be saved by one’s faith alone and that asking for forgiveness gives one a free ride to heaven, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” JAMES 3:26

For a better understanding of the interconnected relationship between Faith, Works, Forgiveness, and Salvation, read the five short chapters in the Book of James.

Yes, Jesus forgives even those who have no faith for they are all the children of God, but remember the following: “…I will show you my faith by my works” and “But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?” JAMES 2:18/20

And especially remember that even those who have been forgiven shall be judged God “…should destroy those who destroy the earth.” REVELATION 11:18
